The RE315 is a plug-in option when a router works well in most of the home but one nearby room has a weak signal. Place it at an outlet between the router and that room so it can still receive a usable signal.
What to compare
- Bands: It supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Choose based on your device and the signal quality in the room.
- Ethernet: The side Ethernet port provides a wired connection for compatible equipment. Check port speed if you need it for large local transfers.
- Mesh support: Verify your existing router and firmware compatibility if you want to use TP-Link’s mesh features.
